Jennifer Mandel is a busy postdoc! She recently moved to a position at the University of Georgia after receiving her Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University. Dr. Mandel is the world’s foremost expert on an endangered species of sunflower, Helianthus verticillatus. Jennifer wanted a professional website for her research, so she asked me for help.

While I was making her site, I asked her for some photographs related to her work, as well as a photo of her signature. I used the photos to make the header and footer, as well as the whorled sunflower in the flash animation at the bottom of the front page of her site.
